Simon CowellIf you’ve ever wanted to smell exactly like America’s most hated man (please get some kind of psychiatric help immediately), now’s your chance.

Simon Cowell
, the American Idol and X-Factor judge, will have his own brand of cologne along with the rest of the X-Factor judges, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.

A specific release date hasn’t been picked, although it’s said they will hit the stores by Christmas. It also looks as though they will only be released in the United Kingdom. And America wept.

Is Stephanie Birkitt still working for Letterman?
It’s become the new scandal of the week of the century that just won’t go away. Now TVTattle.com has discovered that Stephanie Birkitt, the “former” Late Show employee who had a fling with host David Letterman, is still getting credit in the show’s closing credits.

The image above lists Birkitt, the girl who also worked in front of the camera as Vicki the prize girl during the show’s “Know Your Current Events” bit, as Letterman’s assistant.

Talk about a scandal that literally just won’t go away. Of course, there are a number of explanations for this (it’s just an inside joke, it was a mistake, etc.) Keep watching the closing credits and see if her name still pops up under the “assistants” slot and be sure to let us know below if you see it.

Nancy GraceDo you think we need another court show? What if I told you that this new court show was going to be hosted by Nancy Grace.

Yup, Grace is planning to star in her own daily syndicated court show next year. And it has actually gone past just a “talks” stage because Grace has reportedly filmed a presentation to show CBS Television Distribution. The name of the show (right now anyway, this could change) is Swift Justice with Nancy Grace. I guess The Biggest Loser was already taken.

I agree with Joel: Letterman should stop talking about his scandal (I also have a problem with the way he keeps referring to it as “I had sex with women who work here” and not just “I had affairs” or “I had relations with”). Last night, Craig Ferguson knew he had to address the issue somehow, and here’s how he did it.

Christian Slater The Forgotten interviewStealing scenes on the small screen is nothing new to Christian Slater. The actor, known for films like Heathers, True Romance and Pump up the Volume, has made memorable guest appearances on shows like Alias, The West Wing and My Name is Earl. His first shot at his own series, the NBC spy thriller My Own Worst Enemy, struggled to find an audience, leading the network to cancel it halfway through the first season.

Slater is back starring in a new series, The Forgotten, produced by CSI head honcho Jerry Bruckheimer. The ABC procedural follows a team of amateur detectives who work murder cases involving unidentified victims, or John and Jane Does. Slater plays former cop Alex Donovan, whose search for his missing daughter inspires him in the field.

I got the chance to talk with Slater about The Forgotten, his new career in TV, and what one of his most famous big screen characters would think about his latest role.

Stephanie BirkittIn the wayback days of my entertainment journalism career (2004, to be precise), I had written a few poorly-executed but fun articles for a wonderful little site called Knot Magazine (not to be confused with The Knot, a website which I’m unfortunately all too familiar with these days). After publishing a couple of my missives, the editor had an idea for me: why not interview that spunky assistant Dave Letterman has on his show?

Sounded like a cool idea. It’s not like Stephane Birkitt hadn’t been interviewed before; she had spoken to a couple of papers from her alma mater and her hometown, and seemed approachable. And it would have been a fun story to try to figure out how she went from anonymous assistant to the girl who talked about her weekend on the phone to the on-stage presence Dave often called “Vicki.” How hard could it be to get an interview?

Almost impossible, I found out.

When you think of all of the products that Levi Johnston (ex-boyfriend of Sarah Palin’s daughter and father of her baby) could do in his campaign to…do whatever he’s going to do, I don’t think the first thing you think of is “pistachios.” But that’s what he’s pitching in the ad below.

(And not to get to graphic, but does the pistachio at the end remind you of anything? No, don’t say in the comments.)

Kanye West tour canceledHey, I didn’t call Kanye West a jackass, the President did. But he’s still a jackass either way. I’m sure he’s been called much worse since he yanked the mic away from Taylor Swift at MTV’s Video Music Awards in September.

When I heard that West and Lady Gaga would be touring together, I thought, what a horrible blow for Gaga. Not that she’s any stranger to controversy, what with her blood-spattered performances and all. Actually, these two might be perfect to tour together.

But alas, the show will NOT go on, at least not with West. Apparently, he’s being dropped from the tour, whether, as he told Jay Leno, he needed to take some time off, or whether he was asked to take some time off (I vote for the latter).

Gaga told Billboard, “Kanye’s going to take some time off. But the good news is that I’m going on tour in a few weeks.”

Ironically, the ill-fated tour was named “Fame Kills.”

Robert Halderman, the man accused of extorting David LettermanSo just who had the unbelievably huge Mammoth balls to extort late night legend David Letterman? You’re looking at him, not his balls thankfully.

Robert “Joe” Halderman, pictured at the right sitting in his unholy beach chair of evil, is the man the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office brought extortion charges against for trying to score more than $2 million from Letterman as part of a blackmail plot.

Letterman admitted on the air that he had a sexual encounter or encounters with members of his staff, and that Halderman used the info he had on those encounters as leverage to extort money from him. I’ve got three to one odds that the “Fire David Letterman” club awards Halderman their “Humanitarian of the Year Award.”

According to New York City’s Department of Correction records, Halderman received a felony count of attempted grand larceny. He entered a not-guilty plea at his arraignment.

Dan Aykroyd!

He was at BevMo! (giant liquor store) in Walnut Creek, CA today, signing his Crystal Head vodka and wines. The line was really long so he stayed after his scheduled time to sign autographs (his liquor plus 3 memorabilia’s was allowed). I said something like “um, hey theres this cool website, they talk about celebrities and movies and they have cool celebrities hold this sign …” He was signing away all of these crystal heads, but when I said that, thats when he looked up. He seemed uncertain but was like hey this seems harmless, and he graciously held it up.
